No Fail Heroes ~ Phail General

aesthetic for Phail General

In The No Fail Heroes series, there are a few businesses with unique names. Most of these names are based on the town’s name of Phail. Today, let’s look at Phail General.

History of Phail General

Troy is a descendant of Samuel Phail who built the town and the nearby sawmill. One of the improvements Samuel made to the town was the addition of a general store – of course called Phail General. Since its inception, Phail General has been a blessing for the people of Phail. Need some baking soda? Check! Plumbing woes? We’ve got you covered! Pet food? A snow shovel? A hammer? Sewing needles? No problem.

Current owner of Phail General

Troy Phail is the current owner of Phail General. It’s been passed down through his family and he couldn’t be prouder to run a place thats so important to the town. He’s added to the inventory of what the store stocks. From his days in the army, Troy developed a love of communication and security systems. If you need something, he’s got the connections and the knowledge to help you get exactly what you need.

The back room of Phail General

Over the years, the back room at Phail General has served a variety of purposes. Originally, it was a living space for the owners.

Over the years, the woodstove was replaced with modern heating. An office and bathrooms were added as well. Sometimes the original back room has worked as storage for the overflow of what’s sold in the store.

During the Small Town Heroes and most of the No Fail Heroes series, the back room of Phail General is used an office/police station for the town’s deputy, Marcus Ramirez. There wasn’t any funding for a full building, so Marcus and Troy renovated the back room to include its own bathroom, an exterior door, and a real jail cell. There’s space for a few desks, a seating area in the corner, and several filing cabinets. And a lot of file boxes of evidence that Marcus needs to keep. He needs a bigger, more secure space. Have you read far enough to know what the back room will be in its next incarnation?
